A City of Hope

Located just 30 miles outside of the Las Vegas Strip, the historic town of Boulder City, Nevada is surrounded by the beautiful waters of Lake Mead, home of Hoover Dam. From its humble beginnings, the town stood as a beacon of hope during the Great Depression. On December 21, 1928, President Calvin Coolidge signed the Boulder Canyon Project Act, authorizing the building of Hoover Dam and the creation of Boulder City to create a home for the Dam workers. From that day and every day thereafter, Boulder City has held a special place in the hearts of all who visit and still maintains its nostalgic charm with many of the original buildings still standing today.

Whether you are a Nevada local or visiting Las Vegas on vacation, if you are looking for a unique experience, plan a trip to Boulder City. Be adventurous, enjoy local favorite dishes, cruise the waters of Lake Mead and of course, visit Goatfeathers!
